Thank you very much for sending this one. In fact, we just published a poem by Terrie Leigh Relf called "Selkie's Lament," so this will add to that theme.
However, rather than publish it in Aoife's Kiss, I'd like to publish it in the Spring edition of Illumen, which is our speculative poetry magazine. It will be released in April, 2005. Please let me know if this is okay with you. [The alternative would be to accept it for Aoife's Kiss, but it would not be published until June 2005, as I am filled up to that issue].

and
Thank you.
A contract will be e-mailed to you in February. You'll receive payment plus one contributor's copy of Illumen. And in the meantime, please send me a brief bio, written in the third person, more about you, less about where you've been published.
Regards,
Tyree Campbell
So, a poem will be published. Wow. I won't put it up here because I think technically that makes it a reprint or something, but wow.
I have had a story published in Quantum Muse, a tiny little webzine, and a poem published in a Midwest teen poets thing, but wow. This is what keeps me hoping that maybe I can be a writer. Maybe.

Here's a riddle for you, when is a crouqet mallet like a billie club? I'll tell you...when ever you want it to be
And where does that smushy lay-about hang his hookah these days?
Fuck spelling.
My bartender can beat up your therapist.
Muchly appreciated indeed.
What lies behind us, and what lies before us are

Love is like a friendship caught on fire.
In the beginning a flame, very pretty,
Often hot and fierce,
But still only light and flickering.
As love grows older,
Our hearts mature
And our love becomes as coals,
Deep-burning and unquenchable.
